Sampling
Sampling is one of the most critical parts of any laboratory, as a proper sample directly correlates to the quality of the results. In our laboratory, sampling is performed by highly experienced and skilled personnel with an average of seven years of practical experience. All our efforts are focused on providing the best possible sampling in the shortest possible time.
In our laboratory, blood sampling is performed using vacuum, disposable tubes (venipuncture) along with TRUMO Japan company needles, which are the thinnest needles in the world (UTW: Ultra Thin Wall), known as painless needles, in accordance with the latest WHO 2010 standards.
It’s worth mentioning that heel prick sampling for newborns is performed in the laboratory for newborn screening tests and other tests to provide the best possible and painless service to our dear infants in the shortest possible time.
Informational forms are available to inform visitors about the sampling procedure for some tests such as sperm analysis.
Furthermore, the use of public relations and psychology workshops to establish better communication and a more appropriate approach is another of our efforts to satisfy our dear fellow citizens.
May we be able to provide a service worthy of our name and our esteemed and knowledgeable visitors.”**

Bilirubinometer
A bilirubinometer is a device used to measure bilirubin levels in a baby’s blood (jaundice) without the need for a blood draw. The device is placed on various parts of the baby’s body to measure jaundice (very quick and painless).
Please note: For infants, please ensure that the baby has not been under a phototherapy lamp within the past 48 hours and is not older than 21 days.
Sweat Test
One of the tests conducted in our sampling section is the sweat test. Using the NANODUCT device manufactured by an American company, we perform sweat tests to measure electrolyte levels in sweat and diagnose cystic fibrosis (VESCOR).
Gynecology
To enhance your experience, we have a separate gynecology room equipped with a bed for Pap smears and liquid-based cytology.
Blood Collection
We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality vacuum tubes and the most skilled phlebotomists to serve our valued patients, especially infants and children. Over 80% of pediatricians in West Tehran choose us for infant and child blood tests and newborn screenings due to our excellent blood collection techniques.
Important considerations for vein selection:
Avoid recently healed burn areas.
In cases of unilateral mastectomy, it is better to collect a sample from the opposite arm. If a bilateral mastectomy has been performed, please consult your doctor regarding sample collection and note this on the laboratory report.
Avoid areas with hematomas (bruises). If no other suitable vein is accessible, sample collection should be done from an area farther away from the hematoma.
Do not collect samples from an arm with an IV line. If necessary, please inform the attending physician.
Never collect a blood sample above the site of any IV injection.
